Wichita’s Shopping & Dining Destinations
If you want to enjoy a day of shopping or an evening out, Wichita has it all. Whether you’re new in town, contemplating a move to Wichita, or have lived here for years, you’ll find there’s no lack of things to do and places to get together with friends and family.
Here are just some of Wichita’s many shopping and dining destinations.
Bradley Fair (21st and Rock Road)
Bradley Fair offers an upscale experience with over 50 specialty retailers and restaurants. Picturesque Bradley Fair Plaza, with its beautiful fountain, is host to many events throughout the year. These include a summer concert series, the Autumn & Art alfresco art show, fireworks over the lake, and a Christmas tree lighting.
The Waterfront (13th and Webb Road)
The Waterfront offers upscale shopping overlooking 25 acres of freshwater lakes. Enjoy a serene lakeside stroll and visit the many fine retailers and restaurants. Some of Wichita’s most popular restaurants are found here.
Towne East Mall (Douglas and Rock Road)
If you prefer the great indoors, take in the two stories of shopping at Towne East Mall. There’s something for everyone, with over 125 retail shops and dining options.
More East Wichita Shopping
East Wichita also has many smaller shopping centers with a variety of locally owned stores and restaurants.
Clifton Square Village (Douglas and Clifton Ave) looks like a Victorian village but houses some of Wichita’s most innovative businesses. You’ll find some of ICT’s favorite dining spots here.
Lincoln Heights Village (Douglas and Oliver) is Wichita’s very first shopping center—home to independently owned shops and restaurants since 1949.
Cambridge Market (21st and Webb Road) is a great place to find a unique gift…and to visit a life-size Gingerbread House during the Christmas season!
Comotara Center (29th and Rock Road) has something for everyone on your gift list. You can also enjoy a relaxing session at the spa.
East Wichita has so many shopping centers, we couldn’t begin to cover them all. Greenwich Road is the site of newer and rapidly growing shopping destinations, including Greenwich Place, The Village at Greenwich, and Regency Lakes.
NewMarket Square (21st and Maize Road)
One of Kansas’ largest outdoor marketplaces, NewMarket Square offers 840,000 square feet of open-air shopping, dining and entertainment. This fashionable destination offers more than 90 shops, including both national retailers and local favorites.
NewMarket is also a place for family and friends to connect. From holiday happenings to free family movie nights, there’s always a reason to get together.
Historic Delano District (Douglas and Seneca)
Wichita’s Historic Delano District began as a colorful cowtown at the end of the Chisholm Trail, and today is home to dozens of unique shops, restaurants and art galleries. Though it’s within walking distance of downtown, it’s kept its small-town atmosphere.
There’s always something to do in Delano. See local art at the monthly Final Friday Art Crawl, and save while supporting local shops on 2nd Saturday. Get in on the excitement of the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Fall Fair, which bring thousands of visitors to Delano.
